It looked like a hard quartering towards shot.
I passed a shot up like that last night. That right shoulder blade sits right there.
You must have slipped it past it and made a good hit. Nice job.

You were lucky. The deer was luckier. Quartering on doesn't usually end well.

I thought the same, I'd rather be lucky than good any day though

Agree with Beastmaster. Problem with luck is it sooner or later runs out.

You people need to stop badmouthing a fellow
Trad Archer. That stuff gets old. Great Shot Purple Heat I was impressed.

I'll say this John, you are ovious very confident in your shooting and it shows!

And as some have stated their shot preference is not the same as yours, but you have been able to make good on you're.  And I believe a large part of it is due to that comfort zone!

I have missed out on a lot of opportunities due to me lacking in that confidence.  And as they say "nothing ventured nothing gained".

You may have or may not have lost some, most have or will eventually.  Glad you've put in the practice to get to where your at!

I'll be looking forward to more!
Everything I have and have become is due to the Lord and his great mercy.

Good shot - it's not "luck" when he did exactly what he meant to do with the shot.  I would not have taken that shot because my focus would have been "don't make a bad hit" and we all know how it ends if our minds wonder.

It's not luck when you execute a plan perfectly.  Great shot!!!

thanks for sharing, I hope to see more of your videos, 80 yrd recovery is nothing to scoff at. Good shot, good sharp broadhead, and complete pass through, all positive from this guy.

Way to make the shot. Way more blood out of the location of that exit would location than I would have expected!  Thanks for sharing
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
