I'm hoping to in a few weeks. Have an exotic hunt coming up and Axis is at the top of my list. It is great eating.

Years ago I managed to hunt them on Lanai and Molokai.Managed to kill a few. Beautiful and MSturm has it right, delicious venison.

I have gotten one axis, and while the meat is really good, it don't hold a candle to eland or kudu tenderloin!!!!

Never got an axis, yet, but agree with Bisch Eland is the best I have had.
