My old Wes Wallace take down grip was in bad shape after all these years, my HH Wesley Special had the standard suede grip that was worn slick and shinny.
I have seen quite a few beaver tail grips these days and heard that it wore like iron so I thought I would give it a try on the Wallace TD, it turned out so good I did the Wesley also.
That ridge in the middle of the grips is the natural center of the beavertail.

Good looking work!  If I may ask, where did you find the brown beavertail?

Caughtandhobble

Very nice and WELCOME  :)

Where'd you get the beaver tails?

Thanks everyone, I got these at the auction site, they are tanned and are very nice, he has several left.
I can pm you with a link if you like.

Thanks for steering me in the right direction!

So funny that this should come up as I literally just got off "the big auction site" to order some in black.  I plan to do the same to one of my pronghorn's. Great, great job!

Good job.  The brown compliments the bow wood very well.   Ken
