How odd. I could swear I've seen an orange-colored Old Town NEXT somewhere up here in NH.

Oh yeah – in my basement, with the seat newly removed, ready for moose hauling duty in October, while towed behind my partner and me paddling my Old Town Penobscot 17.

This is from the landing where we'll launch:

Dang it.  Now you guys have me looking at canoes.  Even though I don't have any use for one where I currently hunt.  Hoping for a chance to move to another state in the next year or two, so maybe I'll have the opportunity to hunt some places with water access.

A short video from one of our last Frogging trip.  We use Canoe and Kayaks to search out a new location.

I'll launch in a traditional, skin-on-frame hunting kayak.

Redux

That was my plan for this year, but I haven't been able to find a used one in my price range that I like...

Adam,

That a great looking canoe, is it a older style from the past?

How do you plan to haul gear or deer if sucessful?

I do my canoe is nothing to write home about. Old town build if for one of the big sporting goods stores some years back. Gonna use it to get to an otherwise inaccessible island on the Missouri River. Should be some dynamite deer hunting.

South MS Bowhunter, That's a skin-on-frame semi-replica of a South Greenland hunting kayak.  Big game will be floated out on a short tow rope as was/is traditionally done with seal, walrus, narwhale, etc.

Flingblade

Adam,  Can we see some more pics of that skin on frame yak?
I recently bought a Jackson Big Tuna and would love to get it out on a hunting trip.  Just need to find a place suitable for that type of hunt.  Also have an Old Town Penobscot 17 in royalex that will carry some weight but doesn't paddle real well solo.

Here is mine solo hunt archery only State reserve near my house.Water level was really low.

I have spent many miles in a canoe.

Good looking canoes everyone, hope to start making some memories in mine this year if the Lord should tarry!
