I have a new to me TT Black Magic ILF Riser and Morrison Max 1 ILF D carbon/foam limbs.  I ordered a new string from Allen at Ten Strings.  I've shot it several times over the past 4 or 5 days.

The first time I shot it the results were less than I expected.  I shot the first shots at 5 yards and the arrows were impacting 2" right and 4" high. As I moved back to 10, 15 and 20 yards, as expected the arrows were hitting the target even further right and higher.

Yesterday I cut the bottom end of a match stick off and placed it behind the plate on the riser.  Now the arrows were hitting directly above my point of aim.  I then twisted my tie on nock point up and now the arrows are hitting where I'm looking out to 25 yards.

about 5 or 6 months ago I sold a Morrison Cheyenne with Max 1 carbon/foam limbs that were 45#@28"on my Cheyenne riser.  They were smoother and faster than any other recurve or longbow I've ever owned.  The Max 1 ILF limbs are 52#@28" are very bit as smooth as the Cheyenne limbs I owned and are a tad bit faster shooting the same CE Maxima Red 350 arrows with 200 grains up front.

I've got more shooting enough before I feel comfortable enough to take the bow to the woods to hunt deer.  But, suffice it to say it's definitely a keeper.

I might add that the Cheyenne was the only longbow or recurve that I owned for longer than 6 months.  I owned it for 2+ years before I foolishly sold it!

It think the Black Magic riser is (was) one of the best ILF risers built. It's too bad they are no longer being made.

One of my favorite ILF combos is a 17" Black Magic riser and short 50# Black Max wood/carbon limbs.

By the way...mine sports a Ten Ring String!

Allen,

Thanks!  And the string was perfect for the bow.

Ron,

Thanks!  The Morrison Max 1 ILF carbon/foam limbs are sweet shooting and very fast limbs.  I haven't shot my 484 gr Maxima Red arrows through a chrono yet, but I'm sure the Black Magic/Max 1 ILF combo spits them out faster than the 45#@28" Cheyenne did at 189 fps.
