I will pretty soon, my friend is picking his up today and his wife is getting hers next week. They shot there bows when they were roughed out and really liked them, we only live maybe a half hr from Ken, we see and shoot with him at  most local shoots, known him for years, excellent bowyer.

Awesome stuff! Would really appreciate some pics and feedback when your friends get their bows. Ken has been great to deal with so far.

I have a Whippenstick Phoenix but really like the looks of the Marauder. He is a great guy to deal with, a knowledgeable archer, and his workmanship is second to none.

Chechen, macassar flare, maple accents. The veneers are chechen. You should see them in the sunlight, there are hues of green and red in the veneers.

Here is mine. It's got Chechen and Wenge in the riser, the limbs have Chechen veneers. The quiver was made to match and has the same woods. I've had it since May. I don't believe there are many out yet but there will be! I think I've owned every model Ken has put out and this bow is my favorite.

When I got it initially I was particularly impressed with the way if feels when you shoot it. It's extremely dead in the hand, no vibration, no buzz, and it does it very quietly. The limbs load up early in the draw and pull smoothly into anchor. The balance is very good. Without the quiver on it has a very neutral balance, it isn't top heavy and remains fairly vertical on the shot.

I pull app. 27" and at 8 gpp I was getting upper 190's. With arrows that are nearly 12 gpp I was in the mid 160's which I consider excellent performance at my draw. These numbers were shot with a 7 5/8" brace height, 20 str. XS2 string, and silencers. I don't really build strings for speed, I make them to be stable and quiet.

And the bow shoots. I haven't found it to be finicky or twitchy in the slightest. I don't feel it punishes little form errors. Believe me, I've owned bows that shot lights out when you were on but made you feel like a rookie when you weren't quite. Mine has that natural point and shoot feel and if I do send one off the mark I know it was me. I've already had some good success with it over the summer and I'm hoping I can continue that through the fall.

I saw Str8shooter live and in action and can say without a doubt that bow will shoot! Of course the guy behind the bow is pretty good. They are pretty.

glad to hear Ken is taking orders again.  His bows smoke an arrow and workmanship is up there with Blacktail.

didnt realize the Marauder was a 3pc longbow.  wow.  gonna have to order one!
