I'm completely new to ILF and wondering if these limbs look right on the riser? You can see sunlight below the limb base

Yep that looks perfect.  Make sure you don't have the limb bolt tight down on the riser.  It should be out a minimum of a 1/4 turn so the limbs go in and out easily.

Mike,

thank you for your input.  I have them backed out some.  I am completely new to the ILF scene.  I knew the day light showing through looked different than anything I have seen.

Less contact might mean less noise! Did you get a new toy?

You could always fill that void with spray foam  :)  it adds 10fps when done  ;) .
Looks good and welcome to the ILF world

So what are the specs on your new bow and more pics would help. :-)

Yes sir, Fellas. I got a new toy today. Morrison max 4 limbs. Put them on a dryad riser. Still figuring the whole ordeal out and will post pics of them later.

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Look fine to me, most of my ilf rigs have the tiller bolts backed out farther than that. If they were enclosed limb pockets, you would never know it.

Max4's huh? You didn't waste any time going for some of the best out there. As much as you seem to enjoy tuning, you should like ilf.

Dial her in and let us know what you think of your setup. Do you have a 17" riser and long limbs? That's one of my favorite combos.

Yes, that is what I have.  I am liking it so far.  It is a little faster than my other bows. lol  I finally got the arrow to shoot a perfect bullet hole last night while tuning.  I am not sure i'm getting all there is to be gotten out of these limbs though.  I remember drawing them back at the howard hill and thinking how amazing the "let off" was.  I have not achieved that same level of let off yet.  I am going to still keep tinkering with them.
