What can be used to wipe down your bows with to get dirt off and so on to clean them up. What do you use or suggest.

I just use a damp cloth .

Damp cloth. If it is that dirty I remove the string and clean the string grooves as well. I would dry off the bow and apply some car wax and buff it out.

the water on the damp cloth wont hurt the bow at all? i didnt know if there was some kind of solution to use such as guns using oil type thing.

Will rain, dew, or snow hurt it? If so, best be an indoor range person!

Wipe with damp rag, let dry. If you want extra sheen use Johnson's paste wax.

A damp cloth to get dirt off, but I use lemon Pledge from time to time to spiff things up.

For heavier cleaning, like tape residue, goo gone works good.  Once it it clean, you can also put a coat of paste wax on it to help protect the finish and keep dirt from sticking.

You can also find it at a lot of hardware stores.  The can I have is sold by Minwax and was with the other Minwax wood stains and finishes, but it's all pretty much the same.  You just wipe a thin coat on with a rag and let it dry for 5-10 minutes, then buff it lightly with a clean soft rag.  It'll get marked up a lot easier than the actual finish because it's fairly soft, but you can just buff it out with a rag from time to time.
