My upstairs bows. Just to give y'all an idea of what I've been up to beyond forging knives and riding my mustang Annee in the past couple of months, these bows are all down to 40-43#@28.  Some started @ 60+ pounds...but those take a lot of work and design change.  Bows 55 pounds and under are quite easy.  Now I have a selection of shooters that were just collecting dust...tippit

I am glad you posted that picture.  I was feeling bad about my 8 bows.  In the words of Larry Potterfield, "maybe just one more."

I need to show my wife this......I told her I wasn't the only one........she didn't believe me.
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I wish I had the skill and knowledge to do that kind of work. There are a lot of nice bows out there that could be put to use.

We are traditional bow lovers.....we all DO have a problem. Some of us longer then others, but give it time guys. Admission is the first step to getting better and im not seeing any admissions here....   :bigsmyl:

tippit

I don't see it as problem...more as a life time hobby. I've enjoyed them all and now I get to enjoy them a second time around.

When I first started this journey, I heard (yes I could hear back in  the 80's) the saying...

"Fear the Guy who Shoots only One bow."

Well heck I thought...I'm a nice guy and surely I wouldn't want anyone Fearing me.  I swear that's how it All Started...tippit

Nice collection.  But is it a good idea to keep them stored standing up like that?  It will twist a limb.

tippit

Keith,
Never had one twist a limb...these are being used on a regular basis.  Basement bows are all in racks.

How many racks are there? ( I figured the racks are easier to count, and you "might" only need a two digit number.)   :bigsmyl:

A tutorial is a great idea!!

I have a Kanati that needs to loose a few pounds. I just need a little guidance to get started.

Sand just the edges or the belly or both? Looks like you got it down pat Jeff!
