In my quest to save Cobra Skins on one of my favorite bows (Matlock Predator}, I sacrificed another Matlock bow that had Canebrake Skins. Task impossible as the skins were epoxied on.  The Canebrakes were real pretty but I needed to reduce the bow from 55#@28 to 40#@28.  To do so involved taking glass off back & belly plus trapping the back, and re-tillering the bow.  The skins were actually tuff to grind & scrape off.  As I was working the bow, I remembered seeing a couple of Dean Torges bows  where he partially skinned and faded them into the wood of the bow.

I kept the skins into the fades of the riser.  With the Lams being Dirty Bamboo, I think the effect came out really cool. Let me know what y'all think...tippit

I think it looks great!  Those Canebrakes literally disappear into that bamboo.

If you ask me, that was a great save on that bow!!!!

Looks good. The first thing I thought about was how a snake can kind of disappear into the background. Very nice,

Absolutely love it, and I've never been a fan of snake skin on bows....Until now!  Gives it a whole different look.
