My bear super grizzly cracked where the limb and riser meet today, I have no clue how this happened. Ordered a Bob Lee exotic the ships Monday, I have to admit I feel heartbroken this being my first trad bow.

Broken bows , what a heart break .   :(

Ouch sorry to hear that, you better order two bows to dull the pain.

How old a Super Grizzly is it?

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

I am glad you are ok!  Sorry about the bow.  I bet the Bob Lee is a phenomenal bow!

That hurts, sorry to hear that. Way to bounce back with the Bob Lee.

Unfortunately it happens.  My original 1pc Silvertip decided to blow up a few weeks ago.  Grrr.

I have been lucky in that I have never had a bow break, but I have been reading and hearing of this happening since the 1960's. In short, it happens. It sure is a bummer, especially when the bow has a special significance. I'm glad you were not hurt, and I think you will enjoy the Bob Lee bow.

Ya I'm glad I'm not hurt, wonder if the factory can fix it? Basically needs a new limb

Sorry to hear about your bow but it happens.

Might talk with the factory if it is only 2 years old.  Enjoy your bob Lee.

Went to archery shop where I bought it today, dropped it off and said they will contact bear and see what they can do to get it back in my hands, regardless I told the fiance I'm getting the Bob Lee for my 30 bday present, sounds like a win win I hope.

You will Kyle. Have had my Exotic Bicentennial for a few weeks now and love it.

Wow I had imagined a vintage grizzly. That really sucks, hopefully bear will do the right thing

Kyle,

If you're thinking about a possible repair, look up JamesV on here he does some amazing work in repairing damaged bows.

He recently took a broken Black Widow that was 51 years old and put new limb on it. Not a takedown but a one piece bow.

You can read and see some of the pic's on the other site.

Even if you didnt want to repair it, you may just donate the broken bow to him to use, just a thought.
Everything I have and have become is due to the Lord and his great mercy.

yeager

I would think Bear Archery would warranty any defect as long as there was no abuse involved, which sounds like there wasn't.  I'm sure you'll enjoy the Bob Lee....my 2002 Classic is still my main bow.
