ONE SHOT

I been Donating Bows that I have made since I Retired in 2001. Most recent International Safari Club here in the Kansas City , Mo. area.

Also two Bows to the Cause for Paws Org. here in our area. They auction them off, and monies go to
training Dogs for helping the disabled, and as comfort Dogs for the sick and elderly in Hospitals.

Just wanted to know if anyone else Here on Tradgang does the same. Be interesting to find out. ONESHOT

That's very generous of you but in the Trad bow world it seems to be the norm. Very giving people and thank you.

Ive done a half dozen to St Judes and Children's Mercy , and a couple to UBM and the IL Trad group.

They are usually a bargain at auctions unless ya got a big name in bowyering.....
Stay sharp, Kenny.

I have done one to the PBS, and used to donate to our state organization before it folded up.

Gail (Oneshot) is an extremely generous guy. He has donated to several of our 3d shoots here in the area and to many youth in the area that wanted bows. Whenever anyone was trying to raise money for a good cause he kicks in. He has given me a few too and my grand kids really enjoy them. A real pleasure to know someone like him.
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

Not Bows but Knives...I donated eight knives to different charities last year.  In fact most of my knives go to charity...tippit

I've donated several bows for several causes. A few for St Jude's and a few for conservation clubs in my area.

I have donated a bunch of selfbows to be auctioned or raffled at the ASTBs Children's Hospital benefit shoot over the years. I have donated two to be auctioned at Catch a Dream fund raiser dinners.

I have made bows and given them to a bunch of special guys who work really hard to put on these fund raiser shoots.

A few years ago 2 groups from PA, one northern, one southern, built 2 bow, arrow and quiver sets that we donated to MWTF and RMEF for their national conventions.

I donate a bow every year and have for over 25 years to the North Dakota Bowhunters Asso. and to the South Dakota Bowhunter inc. Both are great organizations and help us keep our liberal bow seasons and promote archery and youth  in the sport. Last year NDBA had over 600 kids participate in the NASP tournament sponsored by the NDBA and the ND Game and Fish dept.

I lack the patience for making a quality self bow but I love to re-utilize things rather than throw them out and making Frankenbows from old compound risers is great fun for the impatient tinkerer.  They shoot great and I like to send them on their way to begin new adventures. A lot of Frankenbow's are far better bows than the early-generation compounds they started out as.

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.
