got a buddy looking to get into trad, been giving him advice over the internet, but it'd be nice if there was a trad shop in his area.

The best place in that area is up in Greenville. Have your buddy look up John Dill at Greenville Marine. He also has a fb page for the shop. John is the best guy you could hope to ever meet. There are a lot of 3D shoots in the area and on base. If he wants to hunt deer, have him look at the bow areas on base. Also, invest in a therma-cell with plenty of refills.

Don't know any trad shops round here's!

Not aure how far away but Ben Graham of Hummingbird Bows in Mt Pleasant is as good of a archery resource as you could find and he builds some great bows for sure.  Hard to beat a Kingfisher.

I looked high n low for a,trad shop n Jacksonville went all the way to Wilmington , Onslow County , pendor all over nothing
