What are gold tip blems? Are they the same as goldtip trad only arrows?
thanks

Yes, they just have a cosmetic blemish but are otherwise fine.

i barshaft tuned my bow with 3 rivers trad only 400 spine at 9.1 gpi with a 200 grain head, now will these blems be tuned the same as the others? they are 9 gpi instead of 9.1, same spine as the others.
thanks

Most arrow companies don't have the same sign across the board. A 400 from one company may be stiffer or slightly weaker than another company. It's always good to bareshaft any new arrow set up. The new Trad Classics by GT are actually a little weaker in the 400 spine than the usual GT traditional.

went out shooting with them and they both fly relatively close even with a broadhead.

do you think these arrows are stiffer then the trad only eastons? they actually seem to be shooting better out of my bow

That and depends on your set up, hard to answer that without knowing.

I'm not sure but the 3rivers traditional only is not the same arrow shaft as gt tradionals.

3rivers traditional only is made by Easton. The other by goldtip. They probably won't match up. With each other. The only one selling gt blems that I know of is BigJim. Give him a call and he,will be able to tell you more.

i dont see why they wouldnt be close they both have very close GPI, the 3 rivers is 9.1 and the gold tips are 9.0 GPI

Wish .1 gpi was my issue...  I just looks for the largest targets so I can say I hit it.

Stump73

Must be close enough to work. I would say go for it.
And to answer your question about blems, it's cosmetic. They still shoot the same as the regular.

Are the blems the gold tip trad only or the older traditional classics? The weight of the shafts are close to the 3 rivers arrow, wouldn't these tune close to them?

Contact BigJim he can tell you for sure.

Blems are the standard Gold Tip only. Classics were just released so it's doubtful anyone will see blems in those for a while.

My .02 cents on the GT Blems. Having shot through about 3 dozen now. They spine consistently relative to a Cabela's Stalker Extreme 400's and 500's, which I'd guess are rebranded Eastons and a bit pricey at $100+ per dozen. But whereas the Cabela's are tough (they'll generally survive a direct hit (miss) against the wooden 2x4 target frame but will occasionally collapse the front about an inch- then I just cut them down from full length) the GT's will just shatter. I'm still looking for pieces of arrow! If you're stumping, I'd look elsewhere, but I've found them to be very good target arrows.
