The WY pronghorn draw results are due to be posted tomorrow at 10am!  Three of us are in; brother, BF, and I.  Put in for either gender and doe/fawn tags.

We also drew  Wyoming  antelope. Counting  the days

I failed on the deer tag, but had already drawn a cow tag.  Brother failed on antelope tag.

All three of us drew Unit 23 for Special and two of us drew extra doe/fawn same unit. Will open the season on August 15th. I have three days of "work" in Cheyenne the 12-14th before the season opens. I'll be hunting about 20 minutes from Cheyenne, DIY.

Good luck on your hunts guys.  The goats can be very difficult due to their very strong eyesight.  If I run into you, say hi.  I find it hard to believe you could miss out on drawing a goat tag in Wyoming, I mean the goat population in this state is higher than the two legged population.

The populations in many units were hammered a few years ago by drought and then winter.  The unit I hunted in 2011, west of Casper was a 100% draw area then.  Last year only a handful of tags were issued to NR.

In fact, to increase my chances this year I had to pay the $500+ fee to get in the Special drawing. I don't  mind because the permit fee is still the least of the expenses

For some reason WY sees fit for all goat tags to be a draw, and has for at least the last 15yrs.  I always buy the left overs over the counter since there are rarly any shortages.

Bowwild you are going to be in my front yard. I will be out west hunting goats in area 55. Would be nice to meet a fellow tradganger if the possibility presents its self. Hit up the Bunk House out west of town for WY atmosphere and a good steak.

HALFCAWKT

Jack just gave you some great advice.  I try not to let too many people know about that place because I love the atmosphere out there.
