I'm in the queue for a new bow and because it's a long wait those days I have allot of time to dream up questions.
Recently I've been strongly considering switching to wooden arrows. The Coyote model is cut 1/8" past center and the Wolverine is cut 3/16" past. I ve been leaning towards the Coyote up till now but I'm wandering if that's the best choice for larger diameter wood shafts

You can't go wrong with either one. The only difference may be that the Wolverine is just slightly more tolerant of a wider variety of different spined arrows. If you tune the arrows properly there should not be any issue. No matter what arrows you decide to shoot.

I shoot selfbows with no arrow shelf cut in and as long as I tune the arrows to the bow, they shoot just fine. Pick the one you like the most and go for it. I love my Coyote long bow!

I agree with the above^^^^

As long as your setup is tuned well, all will be just fine. Those are both great bows, and it is a personal preference thing past that!

My Coyote loves a wood shaft.....no worries! Mine is 62" 46# @ 29"....I use 55-60 or 60-65 cedars full length with 125 gr. up front. They shoot great and give me the flight I'm pleased with.
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I'll probably stick with the Coyote.I'm not used to mulling things over this long

I have no problem shooting any shafts out of my Coyote. Very forgiving bows.

I have not shot any other Stalker bows, But i just got a Coyote  62 in long bow and it is hands down the best shooting bow in my collection.
