I find myself leaning towards longer bows now days. Who hunts with a recurve that's long....like 64,66 68 inches long. Do you have any issues with the length. I have a Bear T/D that's 64" [ B riser ] and it really is nice to shoot. What's your thoughts.

Longer bows are a dream to shoot... Then a 60" bow is long for me...    You are on the right track my friend... Why fight them short limbs when you can shoot a longer bow all day stumping or at 3D without fatigue... Hunting in the cold, motionless for hours then drawing a stiff bow can put a damper on your shot... Just my two cents worth...  :archer2:  ...

I wont shoot anything under 62". I currently hunt with 64" and have gone as long as 66". Just more of a pleasure to shoot, and I dont have any problems. just shot a turkey out of double bull with a 64"

Ron, my ILF recurve is 62" with medium limbs.  I have a set of longs that I have yet to try.  That'll make a 64" recurve.  Gonna try them out as soon as I get a string.

Ron, I hunted with my 64" Bwood last year.  I don't take the #3's off of the B.  Just a good feeling bow to shoot.

Bear TD with #3 limbs from Brandon Stall. 64" bow with my B riser. Sold my #1 limbs sometime ago. Granted we do not have the under brush in our forests here like back East but we still need to maneuver around. I have no issues, but then agian I can not be accused of being a fast walker in the woods.

Been using 64",going to a 68" this year.

i still have a Kodiak Special that carries a 66" string, I was told that there were not many of that length built.  I often look at those Stotler recurves and drool a little.

I like them Stotler's also........someday I'll snag one!

The one that I had a chance to shoot made my Bear takedown seem like a dog.

I use a 64" Blacktail Elite, it's smooth & fun to shoot.   ;)

I have 1 62" curve and couple 64" the rest all 66". I will take 66" any day of the week.

All my hunting bows nowadays are 64".

I hunt from tree stands and from the ground on my knees. Have harvested a lot of animals with the 64" bows the last couple years and have never had to think about how long my bow was.

I started at 58" for hunting. Then it seemed that every couple years my bows were growing by 2" every time!!

No more short bows for me!

Herdbull

All of my bows are 64" recurves except for one 62". With a long draw, you will like a 64" like this one.

FlintNSteel

I've owned a number of 64" recurves and for my 30 1/2" draw that length works nice, though I've often thought of adding a couple more inches.  Have also had a number of 62", some 60, and one 58".  the 60 and under were too short...the 62's "OK".

While not a recurve, I got my first 68" hybrid longbow this year and it shoots smooth as silk.  Super stable too.
