Bill,

The knife sits on the outside of your forearm,no interferance at all.I love mine....might forget to put my knife on my belt or around my neck, but won't forget the bracer and always have at least 1 knife with me that way.
Bowhunting......A way of life and death.

Here's my newest, that I'm packin in the woods!! Karl Anderson, KBA Knives made this one for me!!! So far, it's gutted an antelope, 9 pt whitetail, and gutted and skinned 1 buffalo, and part of another!!!
9 inch Bowie blade, forged from a bar of Rados Single-twist Damascus of W2 and 203E.
The handle is a nice piece of Desert Ironwood stabilized by WSSI.
The fittings are wrought iron - deeply etched. (The finial is stainless) In a takedown configuration!

Fireman,
Karls' knives are great knives. How do you like the take down feature? You did good.

my knife was made by Herb Derr...he made the whole thing, sheath included. Member of KGA and Bladesmith Society I believe.

It is as functional as it is beautiful..and I like that he built the entire thing...and not just assembled pieces from others.

The two small knives were made by sticshooter.  The kydex sheaths were made by me.

My wife carries the little one on the left, I carry the little one on the right.  The center knife was made by HighPockets & is the knife I carry while in the woods.

Hundreds of years from now, when these relics are discovered, they will learn we loved or knives and our work. I have Buck, Kershaw, Ruana Schrade, and a good Old Timer in my pocket. The jewels stay locked up until needed. I'm currently favor the Cold Steel carbon when out on the war path.

Ray,
Hmmmm, I have seen that knife somewhere before LOL.

Hope it is serving you well. I just couldnt bring myself to use it, and I hate a knife I wont use. Thinking of parting with a couple more of my "safe queens".

To answer the original post, I pretty much carry nothing but Dozier made knives now. Cuttin-est things I have ever seen. Usually one of these.

Hi Lin, That takedown feature is awesome, come cleanup time!!! After workin on those 2 Bufflers all afternoon, layed out in the grass, it needed a good cleanin'! Stropped it a bit, and it still popped hair off your arm!
