Just checking in and saying hello to the gang.
I have been lurking for months and just thought I would say hello. I am 48 years old and have decided to get into the traditional way.
As a teenager I shot a recurve for a few years then got busy with life, family and work and just never pursued it. I will save all the stupid questions for later. I will still keep searching reading and learning all I can first.
The only thing I know for now is that I will be getting a long bow from one of the custom bowyer's #45 to #50 and be shooting wood arrows.
Not that that is the best or only way it just what appeals to me. This will be just for me to have fun with growing and learning as I go. I live on three acres out side of town so I will set up a place to shoot and see if I can learn and succeed at this wonderful sport.
So hello to all from Mississippi.

Welcome,
It would be best if you could go to some local shoots and try a few bows first.Unless you want to do like the rest of us and spend thousands of dollars buying everything in sight.  :bigsmyl:

Thanks to all for the warm welcome.
I feel so out of my element here. My main intrest is motorcycles specifically adventure types. I can offer good advice and make sound recommendations. Here it just sponging off all of you. But I will keep learning and growing in the sport and soon I will be able to repay the forum.
Thanks again gang for the warm welcome.
