I am new to the area and am trying to figure nz a good place for turkey. I don't have any leases so would have to hunt public land. Does anyone know of a good place for this? I am also still working on getting some blood on
My bow, 9 years now (haven't got to make every season but tried pretty hard this deer season) and no luck.

I've had some close calls on some public land in NE Oklahoma but never connected. I'd recommend a few if you pm me  ;)

Lots of birds out on Black Kettle but also a lot of hunters.  If you don't mind getting away from the roads you should be able to get away from the hunters and find some birds.

Good luck!

Cool, I was looking at Black kettle and Kaw lake. They seem to have consistent high harvest records for the public lands. Will check it out.

Jmar595 - if you get a chance to come out to Ojam next week stop by my booth and we can talk about Black Kettle.

I grew up out there in and around Cheyenne and Reydon.  I'll be happy to give up some locations if you bring a map with you.   :)

I would second Kaw Lake, if you're not far from Oklahoma City Pushmataha has lots of turkeys and would justify a drive in my book
