It was a brisk cold day in Northern MI the sun was out which made it look allot more inviting then it really was. The day before was in the fifties but the clear sky and lake wide today made the temps dip to 20 .

The boys and I had got the taste of spring in the air and we headed behind the house to go for a walk/stumping session. With them it can turn into just about any type of adventure. I seldom get allot of shooting but the conversations we have are priceless.

It was a blast and good to get some fresh air in the lungs we headed in for some venison taco's and to WARM UP!

We are ready for a warm up!

Nice photos Chad.    :clapper:

Kudos to you for taking time with your sons.

Best kind of bonding time I can think of.

Before I got into archery and back when my 2 boys and my daughter were kids, we did a lot of whitewater kayaking together.

Every weekend, it seemed, we would be on some Northern WI or UP river, based upon water levels and their skills.

We still talk about it today.

Now I have the joy of taking my grandkids out stumping and to 3D shoots, and sometimes even hunting.

It seems to be a universal thing to hold your tongue JUST RIGHT when making a difficult shot.

Prolly takes a lot of practice.

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Great pictures. My little guy just turned a year old. I can't wait till he's old enough to come out with me.
