I had a 1966 Bear Kodiak that needed restoring. I was referred to BowDoc and so I sent him an email and after talking to him a little sent him the bow. Then tradganhers started inviting him on hunting trips, and the new silk screens were delayed. Well I got it today and WOW!
I'd post pics but I don't want to be responsible for jealous rages and bitter tears. Well that and I don't have a digital camera right now.
By the way the bow is 64" 63#@28" I think the woods are Zebrawood(highly figured) and Shedua.Maybe BowDoc will post if I am mistaken. need to put a side plate and shelf and a string on it and then it's tuning time.

Don has two of mine on the way home now, a '68 Super K, 60", 69@29 and a '71 B wooden riser. I know what you mean, Kip-Don has about fixed it so I don't have a "beater" left. Congratulations C2-the wait is always worth it with BD.    Grant

These are good things to hear about Don...I have a Blacktail up there getting a new look!

Other than refinishing/refurbishing bows, can / does Don do more elaborate work such as converting a one-piece longbow to a takedown?

Does the bowdoc have a website?  I dont see him on the sponsers list.

Spinning faster round the pole. Soon to old from chasing gold. Young hands wrinkle, hearts to stone. Dust to dust and ashes cold

It does my heart good to read where so many of the "Oldies" are being restored and used. Folks need to keep history alive, and those old bows performed just fine.
Is it too late to be what I could have been?

Curveman

Bowdoc is an absolute MASTER at it and a great guy too!!!
