The last carbon arrow that I shot a deer with is in good shape.  How do you clean the fletch on your arrows in order to shoot them again?  What do you use to clean them?  Thanks!

Interseptor... I recently (today) cleaned up an arrow that had gone through a racoon lengthwise... a little greasy along with the blood.

All I ever do is use a drop or two of detergent (in this case I used Hunter's Specialties Scent A-Way liquid). Rinse the entire arrow with hot water, lather up your hands and rub off the goo and blood.

Rinse with more hot water until all the soap and objectionable stuff is gone then blot dry with a towel.

Set it aside to dry thorougly.

Once dry you can easilly steam the feathers back to their original condition over a tea kettle.
Tip... Steam a little and slap the shaft on the palm of your hand to return them to shape. If they are stubborn you may have to "preen" them a little with your thumb and first finger.
