Rob...love not having a quiver on a bow but they have their place!  I haven't tried a EFA yet but will someday soon.

Of the quivers I own my favorite 2 piece is a fine looking Kanati but it won't fit on my Cumberland as the thickness at the riser fades is too thick and I don't like where it has to go to fit properly.  If I were to use a quiver on my Cumberland I have a Great Northern expanding quiver that fits it great and goes exactly where I want it.  Adds just the right balance to the bow and as you mention acts like a stabilizer and takes some of the vibration out of it.

But one thing they bow are...very low weight!

Guys, tried my "old" EFA.....that I wasn't aware was an EFA, and I liked the feel on the bow ok, but still a little concerned about vibration at the shot. Have any of you noticed any preference in location, as far as up or down from center of grip? Anyway, thanks for those who helped!

Don, Nice Croc. How old is that bow. I'm curious as to how long it takes for the osage to darken. Also like to see some pics of the overlays. Thanks

I'm the opposite to a lot of you blokes in quiver preference. I love the extra weight of the Selway, and that it carries six broadhead arrows plus two blunts attached with piggy-backers (could even carry more blunts if I wanted). They are rock-solid and quiet. They say there's no accounting for taste, and we're all different: To me, the Selway slide-on rawhide just looks perfect to my fussy aesthetic sensibilities.

I've had it for 6 or 7 years, can't remenber when it started to change color for sure. But seems like it was 2 or 3 yrs before I noticed it changing.

Hope,Nate will jump in here. I'll be getting one of his Sunset Hills in a trade in a few days. Just wondering about the string. I think the guy said it had an 18-20 strand string on it. Any sunset shooters useing anything smaller? if so how much did you pad the loops?

The Tembo has arrived!  This is a 66" string follow marked 60@26 and named, "Habanero".  Dark carmelized boo limbs, a dished Osage riser, gloss finish, and rust wrap.  The contrast between the dark boo, osage, and rust is just fantastic.  It really has a classic look.  This bow shoots dead on where I'm looking and the weight is perfect.  I absolutely love it!!

We'll be heading to the woods soon!!   :archer:

Very nice Molson, I would love to see pics after the Osage ages with it's natural patina. Great choice.

Molson the bow looks great! I"ve been sold on the carmelized boo, I got on my bow last year. I also went with the gloss finish and love it., probably won't go with satin again. Darren

I shoot with Nate and shoot a bow that he made for me.  I have been shooting strings that I build - D97 12 strands, padded to 16 in the loops and served with Halo .024" serving.  It fits the Mercury speed nocks that I shoot, nicely.  It is quiet and I don't use silencers.

Well, I broke down and ordered a new Tembo last week. 66", 55# @ 28" black glass back and belly, snakewood riser with the silver elephant inlay,  with snakewood and ivory double tip overlays. It will have the narrow Hill grip with leather wedge arrow rest. Naturally I'll post some pics when it arrives.
