Way to go RC beautiful shot. I shot a doe on Wednesday at 3 yds from 15 ft up with my Jeff Massie. Very steep angle cutting the major artery along the backbone and down through the lungs. Would not normally take that shot but felt right at the time. Arrow did not exit below but came back up through and out because the broadhead came loose from the woodywieght. Went 75 yds. I only had the cell phone for photo. For that shot I had an extreme cant.

Most of you know or bought the new Bob Burton book Howard Hill collectiables. I've been in contact with Bob over the last two months asking him if he would offer a non-limited edition book. Bob did not think that enough people would be interested one, I thought the opposite. I told him that there's a lot of guys that would be interested in a cheaper version. Well the good thing is that Bob has been getting a lot of phone calls requesting a non-limited edition book, and on the other trad site's, guys are asking for it also.

Bob explained to me that the book has a lot of color pics making the cost of the book very expensive. I recommended that he offer the book on DVD. It would be cheaper for him, and he can continue selling them even to the new generation of Howard Hill fans.

If you haven't called Bob yet, call him today and tell him that you would be interested in his book, pls do so.
Bob's # 406-375-2300.

Thank you,

Thanks for the leg work, Darren.       That is good to know for us that missed this or couldn't justify the limited edition.

Todd,

For out West we have this shoot.

From what I understand, it will be held in Stanley, Idaho in 2012.

There are other trad shoots that have longbow divisions, as well but will have other bow types there.

Berliner

Greetings from Germany,

I am brand new to tradgang and the HH bug got me as well, so this is my first message here and I thought it`ll be best placed in this legendary thread. Enjoyed it quite a while.
Straight ended longbows are getting more and more popular over here, I guess for the same reasons as in US.
I am shooting a Jerry Hill Stalker deluxe with woodies on 3D tourneys.
Sorry to tell you, that I can`t chime in with exiting hunting stories, because bowhunting is not legal in Germany. But I´ll give it a try someday. Finally I am glad to have joined the gang. :-)

Welcome, Berliner!    :wavey:

You can tell field shooting, 3D or roving stories here, as well.  As you have seen, much talk about all things related to the straight ended bow and it's equipment.

Yah, thanks for the friendly and encouraging welcome. Don`t wanna hijack this thread with personal stuff, as it was about HH related shoots on the last pages....

Will post some pics in a few days.
Actually I am looking for a HH longbow 70" and around 45-50@ 28" (or even better around 55@ my draw 31")
Don`t wanna bore you to death, but you asked for it.... ;-)
Here`s my gear so far:
Jerry Hill Stalker deluxe 69" 60@31" limbs: two lams actionwood, riser actionwood, dished grip, B50 string 16 strands.
Alu Legacy 2117s or Northern Pine woodies around 70# spine
Not the fastest bow (HH will be faster???), but I love this lady and the way the little foam critters got hit!
It`s late over here now (11pm).
Good night, Vincent

Thanks for the info Darren.  I will contact Bob regarding my interest in the paperback.

Howdy Berliner.  Welcome to the Gang.  Enjoy your time here.
