Was out during lunch today walking a property line and found fresh scrapes and brand new horned trees as well.  These scrapes and horned trees were NOT there over the Thanksgiving weekend, and were made just days ago....so GET BACK IN THERE!!!

Yup, it is happening here as well!! I saw fresh rubs that were so fresh that the shavings were on top of the snow that we got last night. I also saw two bucks hounding a doe fawn on Sunday afternoons sit. Shawn

Here too! Yearling does are coming in. Deer are herding back up so you see 10 does better be looking for a buck trailing them. Gonna snow Saturday...can't wait!

I'm jealous. The first rut hasn't started here yet. Nothing new though, it never starts before January. About three more weeks and things should start getting interesting.

It's odd how deer that are less than 100miles apart can have such different rutting times. The deer in northeast Alabama rut at about the same time as the Georgia deer, but central and south Alabama deer wait until January. I need a place to hunt in Georgia.LOL

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.

Izzy

Same here in NE Mississippi PSE--our first rut won't start until the season is nearly over (ends Jan. 31).  Wish it would get moved back a month......or better yet, just stay open a month longer!
