OK OK OK!! As long as we got blistering speed and there purty! That's the only way I let you shoot dang SISSY foam in your limbs. I ain't never! I just can't do nothing with him! %^&*%%*  :banghead:

JC, We use only Phenolic on wedges or fade outs Now. The foam only replaces the ActionBoo.

I have a set of these these new recurve limbs for my Morrison ILF riser. They are the Cheyenne recurve version, foam core with black fiberglass back and front. Unbelievably smooth and quiet and fast. From the first arrow I shot, "wow" is all I can say. Can't wait to really "field test" them. Late season starts next Monday.

Normally, I like longer bows(62" minimum and 64" preferred) but these were shorter(makes 60" bow) and I was skeptical at first. Even my 30" draw and they are still very smooth. So much so that it is really easy to draw farther, if one wants. Increasing ones draw length is always desirable and an advantage from a performance standpoint.

Holy Smokes! These things are awesome!   :readit:   Ok, so everybody knows I think the Morrison Cheyenne is the best recurve bow made. I can hit with it without thinking in all scenarios. Until now, Bob's Shawnee was his "stepchild" in my opinion: beautiful bow but just not the bow the Cheyenne is, imho.

These new limbs have changed that. I have said before the A&H wood riser ACS is the best 3pc longbow I've shot to date (for everything but pure looks), but these new limbs on the Shawnee....unbelievable. My ACS should be here by the weekend and I can spend some time side by side, exciting to say the least.

But for now, this is the best 3pc longbow I've ever had in my hands. I'm not just saying that cause it's Bob's...I really believe it. The foam/carbon limbs changed the shooting charicteristics completly. Smooth, quiet, ridiculous speed, but I discovered something new tonight. I shot 4 different carbon spines out of it tonight with excellent bareshafting characteristics for all of them. Doesn't make sense compared to my conventional knowledge, this riser had 1 arrow that worked to my satisfaction previously with the conventional limbs. Now, there's 2 arrows with different spines that fly perfectly and 2 more pretty darn close. Whooooowheeeee this is fun again!

Mitchum, these ain't gettin nuthin on em...skins, veneers....I ain't fixin what ain't broke! And NO, it ain't fer sale but I will let you have a dance when you come over to help me kill a turkey in the spring with it. Did I mention I need a "call unit"

Sorry bout the pics guys....work ya know?

This was the best one I could get of the foam. I can't capture the nuance of the carbon with my cheap camera. At first glance, it looks like black glass....but under good light at the right angle you can really see the longitudinal carbon fibers.

In a few months, my Thunderhorn 3pc should be due, lookin forward to wringin that one out too...did I mention THIS is the Golden Age for bow-a-holics?    :goldtooth:

A.S.

I have a new Cheyenne on order with Bob. I happened to call him a few days ago to change the snake skins that I am getting. He mentioned these new foam limbs, said they are the cats meow. I jumped at the chance to get them! It had only been 5 weeks since I placed my order with him and he is already started my riser! I can't wait to get it.

Tater

You guys are such a bad influence. I called Bob this morning to discuss the new foam carbon limbs, Yeah.. Yeah.. you know the rest I wound up ordering a set of limbs. Well I got to thinking about it and what the heck I called Bob back and told him we might as well make it a complete bow.. he just laughed.
It's all your guys fault,  that's my story and I'm stickin'to it.
