I was thinking about the WW but they are too stinkin light.  That is why I am interested in maybe trying snuffers..they are a little heavier.  I am currently using 190 grizzlys which I really like.  I guess I am just curious what I can do with a snuffer.

My arrow set up is 26" 1916's with 3-5 1/2" nanners with 250 grain WW's and now 260 grain snuffers.

**DONOTDELETE**

Bucky if you move up to 2016's cut 27"BOP would be a better choice in arrows, plus it will give you more mass weight harder hitting... just My $.02

BUCKY

Sal ,tried it, to stiff because the bow is cut before center.

**DONOTDELETE**

Bucky, Your only 1# lighter I shoot 52# no center cut riser. Don't know why they wont work... O well..

Well I put on the 160 snuffers and boy they are VERY loud....why isn't everyone hearing noise from the snuffers.
I am shooting them out of a 66# widow.

I was really looking forward to seeing the damage I could create but I just can't stand the loud whistle all the way down range.

file down the inside edges of the vents.... I have never gotten any noise from mine..

Guru

A slight hiss maybe...but if you're hearing a loud whistle...they're not on right......

a loud hiss may be better said.  I am comparing to the grizzly which of course makes no noise.

I shot a four blade zwickey with an adapter.  The adapter is short enough to leave daylight showing through the broadhead.  It has the same loud hiss.  Of course I am not using them in that fashion any longer.

I have got the snuffs working right...guys

Ok need some help getting these snuffers quite.

The arrow spins perfectly,  I have filed the inside edges best I can.  Still loud hiss as it heads down range.

what kine of arrow wood/alum/carbon if you can turn you nock just a little. Your arrow is making the noise from going though paradox... By turning the nock you change the amount of feather hitting the window or shelf, helping to bring it out of paradox....

Richie Nell

I don't believe that is the noise.  I am shooting aluminum arrows.  I have been for a long time with grizzlies with ZERO noise.

It has to be air going in and out of the spinning snuffer.

Richie,

Are you hitting what you want with them?  Good groups?  If so, it is "the hiss of death"; go kill something   ;)

Steve O

yeah, Grizzly's dont have vents...cut some holes in them and see how they sound   :D

Richie Nell

That is my point.....surely all snuffers are loud.  How does anyone use them efficiently?

I shoot great with them.  I just can't stand the noise.  I still feel like I am missing something here regarding these blades.

I have killed 5 deer in the last 2 years with these heads. If you can get them scary sharp, they make for a short recovery. Never had problems with the hissing sound and deer jumping the string. I think it's kinda cool!
Just one more step please!

Some dude with a stick and string chasing things.

Kelly

Been shooting 160 grain Snuffers, and the prototype Biscuit Cutters, since 1970 when Roger took two of them off his own arrows and gave them to me to use. Killed my first Mule Deer with one two days later.
