I did a little research on this and couldn't find anything too recent. The turkey broadhead threads got me thinking about something....

I had to send my widow back to get the limbs reduced to around 56-57#. In the mean time, I've been playing around with my 67 Bear Tigercat, mostly to have something to do. It's about 48# at my 30.5" draw. If my widow isn't finished in time, I'll likely turkey hunt with it.

Has anybody had any experience with bows in that weight and bullheads? A couple places I hunt, I really can't afford to let them run off too far (property boundaries).

Thanks.

If you smack them in the head/neck, like it is designed to do, the bullhead will work fine off a 48# bow!

I've never used them, but the concept makes perfect sense to me. I truly think a 35# bow would take their heads right off. You aren't trying to go through the bird with them like a conventional head. There are no feathers or bones in the your way. Just a puny spine and skin.

I read on here somewhere recently where a guy took 2 birds cleanly with the Bullheads from a 40#ish bow....some thread about shooting the Noggin or something.

Well, I got a deal on some. So hopefully I can put them to use.
