I've been looking for a decent 3D target for the back-yard range. I've found a UK supplier for the Delta 'Backyard' buck & 'Riverbottom' buck targets, along with the regular 3Ds.

1. What's the difference between the two?

2. What's the difference between these cheaper versions & the regular Deltas?

3. What's your opinions/experiences been like with either of the above?

4. How do they hold up to broadheads?

Both of those are average 3D targets IMO. O.K. for field tips, but I'd try to find one with a layered vital section for broadheads. (Like the GlenDel buck)  cabelas

Unfortunately we don't have aything much better over here (no real need for them) & the cost of importing things like the GlenDel & the Delta Broadhead buck is ridiculous.

Looks like I'll have to stick to practicing with field points. At least I'll have something anatomical to work with!  :D

Rob care to share the info on where you might be getting one from?

They did have them in Decathlon for a while but they don't seem to do them any more. I know Quicks had a supply of them for a while also but they are now out of stock.

They are just so terribly expensive in the UK.

Quicks have got them back in, according to the site. Both the Backyard buck & the Riverbottom.

As others have said, they do not hold up all that well to broadheads. However, I still use them as I can usually get about three or four of them to one of the better targets. If you happen to shoot two bladed head, they will hold up longer though. I also like them because they are on the small side. I'd rather practice on a smaller target. I don't bother getting the replacement vitals though. Mainly because the target is pretty much toast by the time it needs replacing and the replacement will not fit very tight.

For the price their not bad you get what you pay for. My biggest problem with them was the plastic that connected the legs to the body.
when shooting from an eleveted stand the arrows tend to get caught in that plastic and this tears up the target,and can be a pain if shooting broadheads,trying to get them out.
Ive since switched to the glendel and really like their full rut buck.
