Dave Heniff of Hitman Custom Lonbows and Static Recurves  has been working on a bow that contains some elm that was from an old barn on my property years ago.  He has used it in the center section of the riser.  The other wood in the riser is Marblewood.  The bow will be a 64" Static Recurve falling in the area of 51# @ 31" draw. He said the bow is about 80% done.

He is using horn where the takedown bolts go.

I am getting very excited !
Here are a few things about me:

I enjoy Hunting, fishing, raising goats, biking and kayaking. Love living life with my wife and 4 kids out in the country.

Here are my bows and such:
~ Black Widow Bows 66" PLX Longbow 47.5@31"  161fps with 600gr arrow
~ St. Patrick Lake Longbows (SwiftStyk ~ 64" (50#@31" = 161fps 600gr arrow)
~ Hitman Traditional Stykbows #1 (Recurve) (63" 52lb @31") ~

A very creative idea. What woods are in the limbs?
I have heard good things about his bows.

I have been shooting the bow and the feel of the grip is starting to get ingrained in my my mind.  A bit different than what I am used to. I have a tendency to let the bow go into the web of my hand, rather than building a better shot sequence there the flat part of the riser sits at the Lifeline/heel a bit more.

The longbow limbs are very pliable in comparison to other longbows I have shot and that takes a bit of getting used to.  They however smoke an arrow (yet to Chrono the longbow limbs).

Below are some photos of the bow strung and unstrung

That's a good looking stick! Both sets of limbs have very aggressive profiles. They look great! Congrats.
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.

Thank you.  I have been shooting it extensively and it is quickly becoming my go to bow.
