I'm still reading the book........   :readit:   I think it said 65-70 pounds at 27" in chapter 2....!!    :goldtooth:

I'm Sorry Manny, I feel ashamed at myself.  I knew if I told Jim to shoot his Bighorn, you would want one, so I informed him of my plan to make you buy a bow.    :readit:    It's good for business for him and gives me an excuse if I ever choose to buy another bow to say "all my friends are getting new bows".

I think Jim has the 3 piece take down riser nailed on both the Bighorn and Buffalo models.

If Mamma Manny gets mad you can blame me.

When are you going to tell us  about your hunt?    :p
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Hmmm,
I was thinking of going the opposite direction.  Every so often I get a desire to learn how to shoot a longbow well.  In the midst of it now. Talked to someone from Oregon last night about it.  Not good.

(Salut Coureur des Bois),Welcome to the world of recurves.I myself own recurves and longbows. You will find a place for each of them in your heart.

Longtoke

I have been dreaming of a big jim bow. What kind of wood and specs are you thinking?

If you know you are headed for the dog house, I see two choices. 1. Get a really big dog that likes sleeping under the stars.  2. Get that new curvy bow in a style and weight that either the boss or someone else can pull.  Then you can claim that it is to share.

Frenchymanny

Hello Guyzer, neighbour!

Longtoke, I am lucky, I have 4 longbows (hybrids) from BigJim, and they all are made of coccobolo/osage.

For this one, I asked the Big Guy to dress it up and choose the woods!
I am sure I won't be disappointed   :bigsmyl:

I am pumped!
I just received the phone call from Big Jim!
Dropped everything and talked bows, recurve vs hybrid...
Great times!
I gave only 2 parameters: Right handed and 60#.

Big Jim just gave me the name of one of the woods: Californian redwood burl!
There will be horn too  :)
