So I wanted a longbow for my daughter for Christmas and called Mr Brian McBroom in Arizona.

I've been seeing his bows here and there and seen some comments here on TG and decided I wanted one of his bows for my girl.

The only question was could he build it in time for Christmas...?

Mr McBroom confirmed one of my fears when he told me he had a list going....but then said because it was a Christmas gift for my daughter...he would find a way to get it built on time...

He did...I apologize to any of you that had to wait on your bow because he was building mine...but I can also assure you any wait is worth it.

The bow is a string follow model, with cedar limbs and osage riser. It is very smooth on the draw and on the shot. It shoots hard...way more power and cast than I was expecting in fact. The shot ends with a nice satisfying "thump" and no handshock.

Needless to say my daughter is very happy with her new bow, made just for her...and so am I. I will be ordering a McBroom longbow for myself, and this time I'll be happy to wait as long as I need to....

Thank you Mr. McBroom!

Awesome share!  I don't think anyone could fault Mr. McBroom for coming through like that!  Oh and cedar cores rock!  Very smooth and snappy.

Russ, glad to see that Brian took care of you, I wouldn't expect anything less from him. I have zero problem with him giving a little special attention for your daughter's Christmas present. I ordered my Mojo in November and received it in January so no hold up for me! Great guy to do business with. Have fun.

Funny you mentioned the Mojo...I LOVE the look of that bow, have just never shot one so short and I wonder how it does...

I like to shoot heavy arrows...650 or so...if I had one at 55 pounds or so how do you think it would do with my heavies?

They're sure pretty...I love that one he had up with walnut and bocote...
