Thank you all for the very kind words! I think that carp leather really looks nice. I just hope the club is able to bring in some cash with it. What we take in at this auction pretty much determines our operating budget for the following year.

We've got a lot of good stuff this year; custom jewelry, cast iron cookware, bows, arrows and two great bear hunts. If you ain't busy that weekend you ought to stop by.

That is really stunning. How many hours you have in it?

You have some serious talent. I hope the quiver combo does well for your club.

Beautiful work!

I live on a river with lots of carp so this is of particular interest to me.  Did you prepare your own leather or purchase it?  Got me thinking...

La Fletcha, the leather was purchased from the Springfield Leather Company in Springfield, MO. You can also buy it online at various other places.

I'd have to say I've never seen one like that.
Very nice~!

That's some hours put in to that there,
and it really shows.
A fine job.
Kind regards
Mark.

THAT is outrageously beautiful!

Such talent... GAWD!

I surely hope they do very well with all those offerings you mentioned...but "stop by"... even from NE TN that would be a full long day's drive...

Should be some lively bidding on those great items you mentioned, not just that gorgeous quiver!!!

Best of luck to the club!

Darren, thanks for info.  Since asking, I've been researching fish hides - I just had no idea that fish skins could be processed.  Past couple of years I've been learning my way through deer skin tanning and methinks this summer I'll have to try a little carp longbow-fishing.  We always see pretty huge ones - they don't get fished much tho old-timers valued them for the white flesh (if you can get past the many small bones).

Anyway, really nice job on the quiver!
