The 2016 PBS hog hunt is rapidly approaching, only about 10 days away.  Looks like about 25 PBSers will join this hunt for coastal hogs in GA, many of them TradGangers as well.  Glad we are not there now, as our River has been flooded for a while but the waters are receding and should be back to normal by this weekend.  The cost of this 3-day hunt is only a PBS membership and about $100 in NR license fees - quite a bargain.  All spot and stalk and the area can only be reached by boat.   I think there will be hunters from about 10 states at this hunt, if they can get there.  Last year snow storms in northern states caused havoc for several traveling bowhunters.  By the way, Terry, we have an open slot if you are interested!  There should be some interesting stories and photos posted here in about two weeks!

Jeff, it's killing me that I can't make it this year!!  Last year was a blast!! Even though I was almost sucked up by "quick sand". TWICE, had blisters the size of quarters on my feet. I was constantly into hogs and the one really good clear shot that I had, my right leg was knee deep in mud and I didn't want to be stuck there with an angry 200+ lb boar 12 yards away!!  That place is over run with hogs.

Here are some pics from last year. Some I've taken, and some were from Jeff and Paul Ladner

The troops have landed!!!

Good luck everyone.  I would be there this year if I wasn't on another hog hunt.  Why cant I do it all?

Thanks For the pictures Sean,  It brings back the thread from last year on the PBS site in my mind.  there were truly some incredible encounters on that trip....

I can't wait for this hunt! I'm also suppose to be getting a new bow before this hunt and hoping to get it set up in time to take with me. I leave 2 weeks from today!

My Sea Ark stealth boat is ready. This year, I will be trying some new gear to try to deal with the conditions.
I would not take too nice of a bow, it will be covered in mud by the end of the hunt.

I just took a break from putting fletchings on and sharpening up some more heads. Can't wait to get muddy! I've hunted with Jeff once before and know this will be a good time. Thanks for putting this on Jeff.

This does look like a lot of fun.  Shoot straight and be safe.  I myself am heading to Texas for a PBS hog hunt in mid February.
