My new bow has arrived, and I thought I'd snap a few quick pics for you guys and gals. I'm working on a full blown review and that will come after I have more time to do a proper video review with this bow. My initial impressions are very positive!

Here are the specs:

Thanks guys!! I made a visit to my local archery center today to test a few things...here is what I found.

The measured draw weight for my limbs is 44@28 The measured draw weight at my draw length is 46.8@29.5

My hunting weight arrows weigh 406 gr. This gave me 8.8 gpp at my draw length (Easton Axis Traditionals .500)

Lightweight 3D arrows weigh 310 gr. This was a dainty 6.7 gpp at my draw length (Victory Vforce .500)

I rounded up to the next digit on the second number in gpp, and shot each arrow six times for an average. Both arrows had 4" Shield cut feathers, and were placed exactly 1" from the throat of the nock. This was to ensure draw length consistency with the feather on my nose.

I used a D97 16 strand string with 4 spider silencers, and a lower tip protector.

404 gr Easton Axis Traditional = 190 fps
310 gr Victory Vforce = 204 fps

The bow shoots extremely well and I have video of the whole testing ordeal. What shocked me is it wasn't any louder to me with the lightweight arrows! These bows are still very much relevant in today's performance standards. I've owned some of the high performance ILF limbs that cost me nearly as much as what this bow costs, and I only gained 12 fps.

Very nice.  I like your grip.  There must be two different guys who shape the grips.  Mines much beefier.

I picked up one in December. They are really sweet shooters. My hand slides right into the grip like it was kustom made for me. Quality all the way around.

So I think it's time to show some key differences in these 2015 Bear limbs. First I will compare these limbs to the limbs on my 1973 Grizzly. Then I will go on to comparing them to something more modern. Bear with me here... (no pun intended)

The need to upgrade these stock Bear limbs is completely unnecessary, unless it's aesthetics you are after. The performance numbers I posted earlier back this up as well. I hope you have enjoyed this thread so far.
