Hi Gang. I have been wondering how to get more of us North of 49 to connect. I would love to hear of more resources in our country, hunts, shooting groups, meet-ups, archery suppliers, whatever suits your fancy. With so much focus on our friends from the South, I thought it would be good to have somewhere for us gather. To take nothing away from Trad Gang for sure! I have started a Facebook group called "Canadian Traditional Archers", so if you are inclined, it would be great to see you over there!

We have a pretty solid network here and on other sites already and many of us keep in contact in person...not sure why none of us thought to do this before...I will spread the word

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

J Dean

Maybe just a Canadian sub forum like the State forums on Trad Gang could be created as a place for Canucks to chat

Thanks Damascus Dave! J. Dean a sub-group on here would also be great. There are a lot of people who aren't interested, or don't have the time to participate on a forum. Facebook is fast and easy to share photos, questions and just browse. Thats what I like most about it.

Jeff G

That is a good idea J Dean. I generally stay away from Facebook, but if archery related I might actually log on haha.

Firstlight

Sub forum would be cool.  ...just requested to join the fb page.

Hummer3T

Not a facebook person.  but love to interact here.

I don't Facebook either. Funny tho I'm finding Canadians not much for chatting. Our club site pretty dull.
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

Flatlander originally, from Saskatchewan. Few years in Dawson city, Yukon in my early twenties, then ended up in Alaska. Also not much for facebook, but I do my own stunts.

Gil

I'll join the fb group. Just shot at T and T archery range last Monday on their Trad Night. Loads of fun, shooting at anything John might think of. Hanging dolls, pingpong balls, 3d, hand thrown stuffed toy. Its located at Sherwood park.
Will try to make ut this Friday at Trophy Book for the Trad Techno hunt.

Not much for Facebook, but sure would be interested in a subgroup here on TG,keep us posted. We have so much diversity here in Canada and I'm sure so much to share.
Quote from Howard Hill.( Whenever he taught someone to shoot) "Son make up your mind right now if you want to target shoot or hunt as theres a world of differance between the two"

cynical_ant

Not sure how a sub-group gets started on here, and I like the idea. The facebook group added ten or so new faces yesterday!

RickE

I'm not interested in FB. I could participate in a group on here but I'm not sure it's really needed. If the topics are interesting enough, I don't really care where they're found...

SteelyDan

I find Facebook to be a bit of a pain as well. A sub group would be great to share with other Canadian trad archers. JMHO.

Fat Daddy

I am all for a sub forum as well; I am not a Facebook user.  While a sub forum might not be too active, it would be a great way to find out about other locations where one might plan to hunt in the future from other Trad Canadians.  As Gun mentions above, we Canadians do tend to be the strong silent type...

Ken Taylor

Trad Gang in itself is fine for me although I suppose that something like a Canadian sub form through Trad Gang, could be interesting.

I do not go on FB and probably never will.
May your next adventure lighten your heart, test your spirit, and nourish your soul.

I am happy that there is some interest in the group, and I hope to conversate with some of you on the "gang" too
