I have been shooting a "forward handle" bow lately (Samick Stingray) and I just love the way the grip feels. The Stingray has been discontinued, so  what are some of the "forward handle" bows being made today?       (bows 56-58 inches).  I'm aware of the Shrew, ThunderChild, and Striker; but what else is out there?  Is a Kanati considered a "forward handle" bow?  Thanks for your help.

The stingray looks to be a copy of Black Widow's PTF. Although the PTF costs about 5x more than the stingray. I happen to own a stingray, remarkable shooter considering the cost. Kanati longbow is forward Handle design. If you like 3 piece bows check out timber ghost and hill country.

Take a look at the Coup Stick by Thunderhorn. Duane Jessop makes a hell of a nice bow!!!  Recent interview in Trad Archer magazine too!!   It's a reverse handle and is smooth as butter.

The Dwyer Endeavor is another sweet forward handle bow, plus I like my Striker and Kanati.
Would not sell any of the three.

Sarrel's makes one. I think it's called the Puma,and it's in 60" and 63" It's a very cool looking bow. I live close enough I might have to go and shoot one. It would probably be worth checking out.

If I'm not mistaken the Java Man Elkheart is a forward handle. I happen to own a Thunderchild and it is a phenomenal bow.

It may be longer than you are looking for but Chad Holm's Kingfisher is a foward handle longbow and Chad builds a great bow.

X2 on the Dwyer Endeavor. I've never shot that model, but it looks like a great forward handle design.

Dwyer Endeavor is definitely a great forward handle bow. Along with Big Jim Thunderchild. JK Traditions Kanati ,great bow for the money.

Good question and great answers.  Every bow listed above is considered high quality for sure!  I have a Elkheart and love it and have test shot several of the bows above.  Just keep doing your research and you will narrow it down.

If you love a forward handle also consider the Heartland Pulse from Cory at Heartland Custom Bows.  It's available in 58" and he is top notch to work with. GREAT Value for what you get.

Only thing better is forward handle with reverse mounted limbs like the Heartland Surge and a couple others mentioned above.
