What feathers do you prefer for your setup?

dbow

ha, i was waiting for unicorn feather

katman

Wild turkey and goose, can't vote since they are not an option.
shoot straight shoot often

I use white Truflights for my target arrows, but I grind, dye and burn wild turkey feathers for all my hunting arrows.

I use Gateway because I got a steal of a deal on a bunch a few years ago. The quills are pretty inconsistent, but I do not have any problems keeping them on my arrows. At $10/100, I could not pass them up, and am kicking myself in the rear end for not buying all he had!

At 10$/100, I'd use starling feathers.

Can't vote. I use Gateway and Truflight but your poll only accepts one.

Tie two birds together; though they have four wings, they can not fly.

I use BearPaw from Kustom King. Great feathers for the price.

Possum Head

At 10$/100, I'd use starling feathers

I use Saggitarius feathers.  The best finished I have seen, no pointy ends, every feather in a 100pack is identical to every other, and the color saturation is great....very deep colors, reasonable prices. Not on the list to vote for.    :(
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

You should add wild turkey to your poll.

I use whatever I have or get.  Really doesn't matter to me.  The ones I have now I believe are vintage, but If I have turkey feathers I use those.

Personally I dont see much difference between the different varieties.  Some say better or worse, last longer or not, but Every different brand, has lasted longer than the arrow.  my $.02.

no spot for me to vote in the pole.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Whatever I can get for the best price....free is best.  Lately have a batch from BearPaw I have been using along with some natural goose and turkey feathers I got from another guy.

The goose I use in really wet weather...seem to have more natural oils to repel water...otherwise just coat the feathers with Gateway or Feather-Dri waterproofing powders.

TRUEFLIGHT is the only game is town..!! I shoot ALOT...! Gateway quill bases are too "plastic" and have had MANY feather failures....arrows with  feather chunks/sections missing...just breaking away  from the shaft............WILD TURKEY wing feathers are probably the BEST.....JMO....:-D
