I just wanted to mention I originally only scheduled two whitetail bootcamps for 2016. Both of those totally sold out. I decided to hold one more for the weekend of April 7-8-9, 2016. All the general info is listed on our website at:  www.brothersofthebow.com  under Barry's Bootcamps on the menu. Or, if you have any questions or need a hardcopy brochure just email me at: barrywensel@hotmail.com. I only take a maximum of fifteen attendees per session (that's all the beds we have in the lodge). As of this morning I only have six slots remaining. So if anyone is interested please contact me as soon as possible. Thanks again and a very Happy New Year to all. BW

If you are at all on the fence about this I am here to tell you it s worth every penny! Barry provides a ton of gold nuggets in fantastic learning environment. The facility and food are better than I have had on some guided hunts. I went last year, and am going back again this year. It really was that good, and you will get out of it what you put into it.

Definately worth it! The WI state record typical and number 1 bow kill whitetail of 2014 was probably a direct result of Barry's boot camp. I have gone, and even with 40 years bowhunting experience learned a great deal

I'm going !! Have been planning on going to this for a couple of years now but something else always seemed to come up.. Luckily uncle Barry added a third week and I got in.. My deposit and registration was mailed out last week.. Can't wait !!

Barry takes your whitetail hunting knowledge to a whole new level.  I had been wanting to attend for years and finally got it done last spring.  To say it is well worth your time and money doesn't begin to do it justice.

I went two springs ago... Barry is an amazing wealth of knowledge... that he shares and shares openly... and his "deer" record speaks for itself...

Pay attention to the small stuff... lots of details that are shown and explained that make a huge difference...

Well worth the time and investment!

Check out my thread called "Scouting a Header and dreaming of November". This is a long thread with many participants and it's a direct result of some of the things I learned from Uncle Barry at boot camp.

Below is what I wrote last year regarding Barry's Bootcamp.  With another year of implmenting things learned from him I'll still think it was the best investment I ever made for whitetails hunting.

I attended one of Barry's boot camps three years back, it was the best investment I have made regarding whitetail hunting. First off, if I had not learned anything new about whitetail hunting, being in the same room with Barry for three days was worth the cost.  There were numerous times we were laughing so hard it hurt.  That said, these bucks were both a direct result two little bits of wisdom, you know, minor details shared during the bootcamp.  These are not monster bucks like Barry and Gene persue every year, but they are representative of the top 10% of bucks for the area we hunt.

Hunter took this buck because Barry made the comment, if you really believe you have your stand in the best tree then leave it there, even if it hasn't paid off.  We left the stand in the same tree we had picked several years before instead of moving it over the summer as planned; figured we should give it one more year.

I took this buck because I changed my entry route to our best producing stand.  During one of Barry's field excursions we walked in a creek from the last stand to the trucks and Barry mentioned he used the creek to help with scent control.  I immediately slapped myself on the head while muttering under my breath, Walt you are such an idiot.

Looking over at my bookshelf, the are over fifty books on whitetail hunting, I have read all of them at least once.  I have lost count of how many times I have read the books by Barry, Gene, and Rodger.  Let's just say the bootcamp isn't a replacement for the knowledge contained within the covers of the books those three men have written, but it did help clarify most of my questions.  Even more important, it answered questions I wasn't smart enough to ask. Let's just say I might be a little dense at times, I had quite a few of those head slapping moments.

If you have been thinking about attending, Just Do It.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Probably the biggest eye opener I've had when I attended last year.  You won't regret going.
