Which Shrew for me?

After paying for my oldest college and my youngest starting next year I want to sneak in a new bow and I've always look at the Shrew website.
I'm looking at the Model T because I like a bow with weight (always shoot with a quiver on) and love the look of the Samurai.
Don't like short bows so I'm looking at 60" maybe 58".
Anyone have one or two and can tell me how they shoot.

I have shot a few Shrews and they were all excellent bows.  I had a Samurai once that was my favorite bow ever.  I think I could have closed my eyes and hit a running target with that bow. It was like it was a part of me.  Unfortunately, I sold it looking for greener pastures and I lost out.  I have come to learn that it's not the bow that makes the archer, but the archer that makes the bow. Every archer is different, every bow is different, but find the right combination and with PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE you have a great marriage full of great experiences.

So far it is the best shooting long bow that I have shot.  I have had two, a 56" CH (51#) and a 58" Samurai (58#).

Thanks guys for input.  Just called Ron and put in order for the 60" Samurai.  :bigsmyl:

I have a super shrew deluxe. 58" handles like a
dream fast and super easy to shoot.

I do not want to hijack this thread but I am curious how long the wait time is for a Shrew right now?  Also, who is making them?

When I spoke to Ron La Clair earlier he told me 3-4 months to be on the safe side.

Wow, that is quick.  I am sure you will enjoy your bow.  I would love to find my old Samurai.

Chuck Deshler of Two Tracks has been making the Shrew bows to my specifications for over two years now. Chuck is a very experienced bowyer and has been doing a fantastic job

Thanks for the reply Ron.  I would trust any bow that has Shrew name on it. Shrews are top notch quality bows that shoot fantastic. I will own another someday for sure. Maybe sooner than I thought this morning with that turn around time.

Greg don't think about the old past bow, think about the new future bow.

That turn around time is very tempting. I have owned several super shrews and one samurai. The samurai is a great choice!!! Enjoy

One of the best all around hunting bows out there. Compact(don't want to say short because that is viewed in a bad way sometimes), stable, accurate, good speed and grip that is second to none. The short riser and longer limbs on the Classic Hunter make for a smooth drawing bow, even at draw lengths above 28".
