Can anyone compare a Toelke Lynx and a Fox High Sierra please?
And shooting both is not really an option.

I've got to put in for Teolke...I've never shot a fox and prefer a recurve but Dan Teolke is the finest I've ever dealt with and can you believe he had my custom bow in the mail a week after I placed the order!!! Incredible!

I have shot neither but I do own and shoot a Fox Maverick...I would not hesitate to buy another Fox bow...well made, quick and quiet...I am sure you would be happy with either one for a first 3 piece takedown

You might want to take a look at a Roseoak Creations Heritage Classic as well...very similar bow to a High Sierra and from a very reputable bowyer

Never owned one but hear good things about Fox bows. I have however owned and still own a number of Dan's bows of which the longest time from order to delivery was 29 days (never found out why that one took so long). When the Lynx was introduced he sent me a longbow/recurve set to shoot at some large 3d shoots and I found them to be smooth-drawing,dead stable and very quiet like every Toelke I've ever shot. Both limb setups on the Lynx were exceptionally quick and the recurve was about as fine a one as I've ever shot.

I've held the fox but not shot it.  I'm a Toelke man.  The 60" recurve limbs are phenomenal and I've got a set of 64" longbow limbs do in any day and I expect wonderful things from them.

I will tell you from shooting both:

Great bows from good bowyers...etc..

The Fox was quite a bit quicker.. Actually the fox recurves are amongst the fastest trad bows available.  

They are truly a point and shoot/ with good technique of course, but they are really easy. The grip is natural and the sight picture is natural.  

They look amazing and shoot even better.


The Tolke lynx is real good but you gotta like the grip or you'll want to burn it.  

Craftmanship is top notch on either..
