Friday the 13th was definitely one lucky day for sure...Shot a ten point buck on my lease here in southeast Iowa.
I live right off Rathbun Lake and the day before was so lucky, that a tornado had traveled right across the lake, and just missed me taken out a few farms. In fact my good friend Steve O had stopped by for a visit as he was down hunting in a different area...I believe he got to see first hand the catastrophic effects of this storm. The following day we had 20 to 30 mph winds and decided to take advantage of the high winds to set up a stand in an area that I have seen several good bucks use.
Snuck in the stand the very next day, and was blessed with my first Iowa buck. I asked my buddy Steve to post the pics for me...I apologize just haven't figured that out yet.

Here you go George. Way to start out your residency in Iowa. Miss you buddy, but it will be extra nice visiting in the future.
