Was out on Wednesday and had these 2 bears come in close. If this has been tomorow Nov 16 (archery bear opener) one of them would have been in serious trouble! Hope the video works. I've never posted a vid from photobucket, let me know

Nice video and bears-maybe you'll see them again. Good luck.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Tedd

Nice sized bears! I'm guessing you were using some deer lure?

Doc Nock

They can be comical---and amazing how fast them big blobs can boogie

Deer may not look up that often but those bears dont miss a thing

Rau,
Several times I've had bruins show interest in mock scrapes/scent wicks/drag trails etc. The bear I took in Oct., however, was just traveling thru a pinch point on a game trail( Bearing Down post). Good luck starting the 16th, love to see a bear post then from you.

No lure at all just a an oak flat with brushy trail leading down to unpicked corn field. I think they're picking up my scent on the ground and getting a little nervous. Then when I whisper hey bear and laugh that's it they're gone!!

Doc Nock

What's the old saw about a hawk sees a leaf fall, and deer hears it fall, but a BEAR smells it fall?!

Amazing animals...

I've only seen bears in PA in all the countless hours in the woods, 2x... once in late MZ/Flint season and once a pair of cubs in archery... I was a tad nervous getting down and walking out at dead dark given they'd gone thru late and I never saw Momma!

Alls well that ends well.

Wow, good video and bears, better put some more arrows in that quiver! Lol

Geez, I imagine deer scatter when they see them coming. Turkeys, blue jays, squirrels, coyotes now bears.

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.
