Inquiring minds.......

Here the senior high school kids have to complete a project.  This project has to be approved by a school "project manager".  I normally have a half dozen students that want to build their own bow. I have learned to take their phone and or any other distraction away before allowing them in the shop.  The young man that finished this blank with his dad did not have to have his phone taken away.  He did his share of the finish work, then learned to shoot it. I feel fairly sure no young man or his father has ever been as proud to get food on the table.

Thanks Mike for sharing the photo and for whatever part you played in getting that young man outfitted.

There are so many kids growing up not getting a chance to hunt. We should look for opportunities to mentor young hunters. When you teach a young person to hunt, they might reciprocate by helping you drag that big buck out of the woods.
