Is there anyone [besides me] that still use's brush buttons on there string ?

Possum Head

No as I mostly use a longbow for deer now but back in the day when I bunny hunted with my curve I liked them.

Matty

Because we spend much time waking here we are always getting "caught up" even with longbows. I don't have them. But wish I did a lot of the time.

Funny the things ya think about while setting in a tree ; LOL ; I too usually shoot a longbow ; have a new kanati 56in 52lb at 28in draw but can not shoot it . So I broke out my old K-Mag 45lb at 28in and can get along a lot better. Looking at the brush buttons while hunting this afternoon just had me wondering how many still had these things on ; was all the deal back in the day.

Bill Kissner

I use one on my lower limb only as it is the limb that all the brush catches in.

"Can't" never accomplished anything.

I just put some on... In western Oregon, it's THICK, and continously getting caught up in ferns, grass, alder saplings, blackberries.... Not sure if it's placebo affect or what? But the bow seems quieter and a little more velocity???    :dunno:

Shinnecockfly

Have em on the lower limbs of my bows.

I tried them ages ago... caused more problems than they were worth and were noisy on the bow.....for me.

Hmmmmm. I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm
not sure that what you heard is what I actually meant!

I am on my feet often covering some ground.  I have the small brush buttons on my recurve, top and bottom.  I went without for a.little while and had more hangups. I think they help to silence the bow some too.

I've been using OMP string silencer, check em out on 3Rivers, they keep the junk from getting under your string, I assume you're talking recurve, and if you're a treestand hunter they keep your bow from settling down on the skinny bow hangers that I like to use.

Too much added noise! I had a set and gave them away.

If you use the ones that are dark or black colored they are noisy especially when it gets cool. The old flesh colored buttons work great and help quite the bow.
