I had been in the stand at least 5 minutes when the first deer came by....   :bigsmyl:

Now I've made some all dayers, but this is ridiculous . So I let the first one go.....   :dunno:

I did have time to hook up my safety harness and even sat down.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

For we did not follow cleverly contrived myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; instead, we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.

Sorry, been around Mr Lamb for a week!!     I watched her in the tall weeds til I lost her, must have been when she turned and went down. That's right where I found her. Was trying to cut her trail when there she lay!

My absence was due to mounting 4 blade Deltas and getting em super sharp and ready to go. Not sure why I didn't have a blood trail, usually do with Deltas, but I'm goin 4 blade and if the next one don't have a super trail, I'm gonna find another head completely.....
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Oh yeah, it was a double lung, she didn't run really hard so maybe that's why she wasn't blowing a lot of blood. I'm sure if I'd gotten on the ol knees I could have found a few drops. Makes you wonder if you saw what you saw! Thought it was a textbook shot, but I tracked her by her tracks in the soft wheatfield 25 yards with out a drop.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

4 blade delta sure ought to normally make for easy blood trails. Sometimes stuff just happens - fat plugs the hole, etc. and they just don't bleed like they should. I doubt it was the head.
Congrats on the doe either way!

I'm not sure if the four blades will make a difference or not. I shot a dall sheep several years ago with a four blade muzzy. I was certain I had missed, the sheep didn't run, just walked about 50 yards and then fell over dead. You would think you could see blood on a white animal with binos, but nothing! I've shot deer with Zwicky eskimo's and deltas with zero blood until the dead animal. I have had great blood trails with two blade single bevels, both grizzlies and cutthroats.
