Which do you guys prefer, and why? I would leave the quiver on the bow while hunting, if that matters.

I've had both the Selway slide on and great northern strap on....both are really great products I ultimately chose the great northern as my go to since I can take it off with the arrows still in it if need be.  Wouldn't hesitate to use a Selway either though.

I have and use both but, like the strap on a little better.  The strap on is easier to put on and take off should you need to or like to use the same quiver on multiple bows.  I only have experience with thunderhorn quivers which are excellent.  I don't want it to sound like I dislike the slide on at all, in fact I have one and use it just like the strap on more.

I had a slide-on that I found very inconvenient.  I want to be able to take my quiver off without having to unstring the bow or remove the arrows.  

I have 3 strap-ons now, 2 one-pieces and 1 two-piece.

Strap-on for me, I like being able to take the quiver off without removing the arrows.

I use a strap on thunderhorn lynx small fry. Solid and lightweight.

If you're going to leave it on the bow, I'd go with the slide on!!!
Fill a coffee cup with warm water, then add a generous squirt of dish detergent. Soap up the limbs and slide the quiver mounts down past the fade-outs. Wipe off the limbs with a damp paper towel and hang the bow horizontal overnight. In the morning it will be practically be glued on, and will NEVER move or vibrate loose!!! I've had several Selway slide-on quivers on my bows and always been pleased with them!!!!!

I've used both the Selway and the Great Northern. I prefer the GN strap on on the bow I'm presently shooting. The Selway doesn't fit the fade outs as well. But I've had bows that the Selway fit better. Selway also makes a screw off cap that saves from having to unstring the bow for removal. GN straps seem to last forever.

So which strap on would work well on s Schafer?

I love my GN strap-on.

Neither GFA for me.

I've tried a GFA and an Arrowmaster. Loved the arrowmaster, and may go back with one, but I'm thinking I may want the added mass of a bow quiver. I'm liking the looks of the Great Northern.

We also make a strap on quiver, Gordy came out with it a few years before we purchased the business, it works great, very solid, the nicest thing about it is it works as a 2 peice and it actually slides over the limb a good portion before you strap it down. I use one on my 64 Kodiak. Very quiet, and stable.

Of the two choices i prefer the Sellway strap on. i have a slide on with that giant rubber nut too, but don't care for the extra mass weight or the looks either.

I put a Thunder horn quiver with a limb bolt mount on my ILF rig this year and really like the balance on that one. Check out the belly mount brackets on this set up.




Here is the strap on Sellway on a Sasquatch long bow.

I like the Selway slide on.  I shoot and hunt with the quiver on the bow so the quick detach is not necessary for me.  If I need the quiver off for some reason, unstringing the bow only takes a few seconds.

This is how I do it too, but with a Thunderhorn Boa. I also like the fact that I don't have to unstring the bow to take it off or put it on the bow!

I prefer the Selway slide on or the Selway under limb bolt, I have them on all my bows.

Selway slide on for me.

With a strap on you can take it to hunt if you dont want it on or you can easily put it on another bow without have to remove the string.
