Seeking Trad Deer

Thanks to the very generous gift of Stone Knife...my son Peter will be getting the below bow as part of his Christmas spread   ;)  .  If anyone can give me some guidance on the brace height for this bow or any historical information I can pass along to my son I would appreciate it.  I put a 48" string on the bow cause I had it...the one I took off seemed like about 27".  The current brace height with the new string is 7 1/2" with the bow square attached onto the string...or 8 1/2 with the square put into the deepest part of the handle and measured back to the string.  The bow has a lot of vibration and sound so I know the brace height will need some tweaking.

I'm thinking of putting a skin eze on the bow before I wrap it up.  A big thanks to Stone Knife for making this Christmas a bit brighter for Peter when he opens this up on Christmas morning    .

Mike I'm glad the bow arrived safely, I hope Peter enjoys it. Here is a thread that might help you out   Brace height.

Here's a web site with Shakespeare info.  I've copied the Sierra info below.  String length (loop to loop)should be 3" shorter than AMO length.  Therefore you should get an AMO 52 string which would be 49" long.
