I've actually been thinking about looking into bear hunting there. We like to camp at beavers bend and thought if I could find something close enough id take the family up for a week long camping trip and I'd squeeze in some hunting.

Randy, I hadn't thought about the brownies as bait. I'd probably just end up trying to wrestle it away from them anyway. Lol.

I stayed at Beaver's Bend once. It's a nice place. I've kept most of my bear hunting about 60 mi. further north. I'm hunting and camping off of the Scenic Byway.

Let me know ahead of time if you ever decide to come up and I'll make an effort to meet with you.

If you kill one with a collar you will get to meet my daughter.  She has caught over 100 bears and put collars on over 40.  We have helped her the last 2 summers.

Maybe she can tell me where one is, lol. I'm having a little trouble locating any this year. Then again, I always have trouble finding any, it's tough down here on public land. That's very cool, though.
